Policies & FAQS

Location

When to arrive for your appointment

Your appointment time is when your session should be beginning. That means if you arrive exactly on time you are already late. To ensure your full time, please plan to arrive 10 minutes before your appointment start time. If you arrive late, your session may be shortened to accommodate others whose sessions follow yours. However, we understand life happens. Please send a text if you’re running a few minutes behind to let us know you’re on the way. Please also keep in mind that you are responsible for paying your full service cost, even if you arrive late.

Cancellations and no-shows

To protect our most valuable resource, our time, we hold a 24-hour cancellation policy. If you no-show for your appointment or cancel with less than 24-hour’s notice, you will be charged 100% of your service fee. To avoid the fee, we do allow you to send a friend or family member in your place as long as you give us adequate notice.

Payment

Payment is due at the time of service. No exceptions. We accept cash, credit card or Venmo.

Intake forms

These must be filled out and submitted online at least 48 hours before your session. Please do your best to answer in detail and truthfully so that we can provide you with a safe and effective massage. If you have yet to fill out your form, please contact us and we will send you a direct link.

Appointment reminders

As a courtesy, we offer text message reminders at both 48 and 24 hours before your appointment. If you need to make a change, please contact us directly (not through the reminder).

Refunds

We fully stand behind our services. Should you find yourself dissatisfied, please contact us directly at sporttospa@gmail.com or 432-242-5556. We will not issue any refunds, though account credits may be issued at our discretion.

Communication & building relationships

Communication is one of our biggest values, and we strive to make you feel heard and cared for throughout your entire experience in our studio. We will check in periodically throughout your session regarding comfort, pressure levels, etc., to ensure you are receiving the experience you’re looking for. Please know that if you’re ever unhappy with a certain technique or feel you had an expectation that was not met, we welcome any constructive feedback and hope you will bring this to our attention. We love building relationships with our regular clients and using feedback to make your next session even better than the one before it.

Refusal of service

As a matter of safety, we reserve the right to refuse or end treatment at any time. Reasons may include but are not limited to: illness, infectious skin conditions, or sexual advances.

Our services are non-sexual in nature and are performed by a licensed professional. Any illicit or sexually suggestive remarks or advances will result in immediate termination of the session and full payment will be required.

Clients must legally remain draped by a sheet at all times throughout the session.

Scope of practice

Massage therapy is not a replacement for medical care and no medical treatment or prognosis will be provided during your session. It is recommended you work with your primary caregiver or specialist for any medical condition you may have. We do not prescribe medications, diagnose conditions, nor physically manipulate the spine.

Contraindications for massage

-        If you feel sick or like you may soon become sick;

-        If you just had surgery or a cortisone shot (generally, we recommend waiting 4-6 weeks post-op)
